REGISTRATION BEGINS FOR SUMMER CAMP - Available at the three Recreation Centers from 7:00am until 6:00pm June 7 - July 30 for a cost
of $50 per week/per child. Activities will include arts and crafts, basketball, swimming, games, and much more. Lunch will be provided daily.

NRPA/AARP 10 WEEK WALKING PROGRAM - This program is designed to increase physical activity among participants ages 55 and older.
Registration will take place during Mayfest at Clayton County International Park "The Beach" on Friday, May 14th from 10:00am until 2:00pm.

OPENING WEEKEND AT THE BEACH - Clayton County International Park "The Beach" will open for this season on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 10:00am
until 7:00pm with a fireworks celebration beginning at dusk (around 9:00pm). The cost to enter the Beach is $9 for children and $11 for adults. There are no
parking fees. The Beach will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, 2010 from 8:00am until 8:00pm and will cost $10 per person to enter the park.

CELEBRITY BOOTCAMP - Offered Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at Clayton County International Park, Tennis Complex. Participants will choose
two days a week and two time sessions. Cost is $150 per person. Bootcamp is taught by Reality TV Star, Cindy "Rodeo" Steedle. Please call the

FALL FESTIVAL and BBQ COMPETITION / LAKE SPIVEY ROAD RACE - In an effort to support the Kid's Outdoors Initiative, Representative Glenn Baker
Clayton County Park and Recreation Department partners with various communities, organizations and businesses to hold a festival and barbeque
competition each year. Proceeds from the competition goes towards scholarships for children to participate in outdoor activities. In an effort to support the Kids'
Outdoor Initiative the Clayton County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Lake Spivey Community, Inc., sponsors an annual 15K road race, 5K run/walk
The festival and barbeque competition / Lake Spivey Road Race is held at Clayton County International Park.

- PRE-K MULTI-CULTURAL FESTIVAL - Cultural Parade, displays, crafts, Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, food sampling.
- FESTIVAL OF TREES AND LIGHTS - In 2003 the Festival of Trees and Lights made its debut at the Clayton County International Park in Jonesboro, Georgia, as a major fundraiser for the programs and services provided through the Rainbow House. Since that time, thousands of families and friends of all ages have eagerly awaited this fun-filled event to kick-off the holiday season. With beautifully decorated trees, children's play area, great shopping, food, entertainment, photos with Santa, and other special events, the Festival has become a tradition among the community.
