- LAKE SPIVEY ROAD RACE - Clayton County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Lake Spivey Community, Inc., sponsors an annual 15K road race, 5K run/walk, 1 mile run/walk.
- FALL FESTIVAL and BBQ COMPETITION - In an effort to support the Kid's Outdoors Initiative, Representative Glenn Baker and Clayton County Parks and Recreation Department partners with various communities, organizations and businesses to hold a festival and barbeque competition each year. Proceeds from the competition goes towards scholarships for children to participate in outdoor activities. The festival and barbeque competition is held at Clayton County International Park.
- PRE-K MULTI-CULTURAL FESTIVAL - Cultural Parade, displays, crafts, Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, food sampling.
- FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS - In 2003 the Festival of Trees and Lights made its debut at the Clayton County International Park in Jonesboro, Georgia, as a major fundraiser for the programs and services provided through the Rainbow House. Since that time, thousands of families and friends of all ages have eagerly awaited this fun-filled event to kick-off the holiday season. With beautifully decorated trees, children's play area, great shopping, food, entertainment, photos with Santa, and other special events, the Festival has become a tradition among the community.
