Tennis Program at South Clayton Tennis Complex

The South Clayton Tennis Complex is the perfect place for young athletes to develop their tennis skills, make new friends, and have fun while working hard. Our goal at Clayton County Athletics is to encourage more youth participation in tennis, starting in our local community and eventually advancing to Atlanta Lawn & Tennis Association (ALTA) and United States Tennis Association (USTA) league play. We’re excited to offer opportunities for kids to compete on teams at Flat Shoals Park, Independence Park, and Lovejoy Park.

Our experienced tennis pros use the latest teaching methods from USPTA, PTR, and USTA to ensure that young players, ages 6 and up, build confidence and improve their game. Lessons are tailored to meet the developmental needs of each age group, so players can progress at their own pace while learning and having fun.

Clayton County Parks & Recreation is always happy to welcome volunteers to support our youth sports and recreation programs. Whether you’re interested in coaching, assisting, or helping behind the scenes, there’s a role for you.

To get started, please complete our Volunteer Interest Form.

All volunteers complete a background check, required trainings, and the NAYS Coach Certification, which helps ensure a positive, safe, and fun experience for our youth.

Our volunteers help build confidence, teamwork, and community one season at a time.
