Given the increased popularity of pickleball, the following rules govern open play at the Clayton County Tennis Center:
- All participating players will put their paddles on the paddle rack for the specific court on which they would like to play. Each player can only have one paddle on a paddle rack at a time.
- When players rotate off a given court, they may place their paddle on the same paddle rack or a different one, depending on preference or availability.
- Winning partners can stay on the court for a maximum of three consecutive games. Play one game to 11 points, win by 2. The losing team must rotate off.
- After playing three consecutive games, winners must rotate off the court if there are two or more paddles on the rack waiting on the court.
- If winners are staying on the court and there are two or more paddles on the rack, the two players at the top of the wait will challenge the winners. If the winners are staying on the court and there is only one paddle waiting, the challenging player may team up with one of the losing players.
- If the winners are rotating off the court and there are four or more paddles waiting, the four players at the top of the queue will play the next game.
Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate player, or competitive athlete, our dedicated courts and vibrant pickleball community make us the top choice in Clayton County.
