Clayton County Parks and Recreation offers multiple youth football programs throughout the year, including tackle football, coed flag football, and girls flag football. Please review each section below for program-specific details, dates, and registration information.

Fall 2026 Tackle Football Registration Has Closed.

Save the Dates for Fall 2026 Tackle Football: Please note, these dates are subject to change.

  • Registration Opens: May 1st, 2026
  • Practices Begin: August 3rd, 2026
  • Games Begin: September 5th, 2026 or September 12th, if your child’s team has a bi-week. Schedules will be given out to the coaches and parents.
  • Picture Day: September 19th, 2026
  • Championship Game: November 21st, 2026

Registration Fee

  • Tackle Football: $155 Ages 5-12

Program Details

This section applies to tackle football only.

Required Equipment:
Participants must provide their own cleats and mouth guard.

Additional Details

Nonresident Fee:

Please note that the non-resident registration fee for youth football ages 5-12 is $250. This fee applies to participants who live outside of Clayton County.

Practice Schedule:

  • Practices will begin in August
  • Teams may practice up to three times per week, typically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
  • Final practice schedules will be determined once registration closes and rosters are finalized

Season Details:

  • Games are played on weekends and continue through November

2026 Flag Football Game Schedules

The Fall 2026 Co-Ed Flag Football season is underway! Looking for your team’s game schedule?

Schedules are available by age division for U6, U8, U10 and U12. Be sure to check the schedule throughout the season for game dates, times, locations and any updates or changes.

Please note that dates are subject to change.

  • Practices Begin: August 3, 2026
  • Games Begin: September 5, 2026
  • Picture Day: September 19, 2026
  • Regular Season Ends: October 10, 2026
  • Playoffs: October 17 and October 24, 2026
  • Championship Game: October 31, 2026

What’s Included

Flag football registration includes:

  • Shorts
  • T-shirt
  • Team picture package
  • Participation award

Provided:

  • Flag belts will be supplied by the park for the season.

Required:

Summer 2026 Girls Flag Football Season

Summer 2026 Girls Flag Football Registration Has Closed

We appreciate everyone who registered and are excited to see our young athletes take the field for another fun and empowering season.

Eligibility and Registration Fee

  • Girls Flag Football (Ages 8–13): $50

Nonresident Fee:

Volunteer With Clayton County Parks and Recreation!

Clayton County Parks & Recreation is always happy to welcome volunteers to support our youth sports and recreation programs. Whether you’re interested in coaching, assisting, or helping behind the scenes, there’s a role for you.

To get started, please complete our Volunteer Interest Form.

All volunteers complete a background check, required trainings, and the NAYS Coach Certification, which helps ensure a positive, safe, and fun experience for our youth.

Our volunteers help build confidence, teamwork, and community one season at a time.
