Thank you to all the families who registered for our Spring 2026 Youth Softball Season with Clayton County Parks and Recreation. We’re excited for an amazing season filled with skill-building, teamwork, and fun on the field.

Save the Dates for Spring 2026 Softball

• Registration Opens: February 1st, 2026
• Practices Begin: March 16th, 2026
• Games Begin: March 28th, 2026
• Picture Day: April 25th, 2026
• Playoffs Begin: May 21st, 2026
• Championship Game: June 8th, 2026

Registration Fees

• Softball (Ages 9–14): $120
• T-Ball (Age 4): $80
  • T-Ball is coed

Additional Details

Nonresident Fee:
A $25 fee applies to participants who live outside of Clayton County.

Practice Schedule:

• Practices are held twice per week on either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Practice schedules will be finalized after registration closes and teams are formed

Clayton County Parks & Recreation is always happy to welcome volunteers to support our youth sports and recreation programs. Whether you’re interested in coaching, assisting, or helping behind the scenes, there’s a role for you.

To get started, please complete our Volunteer Interest Form.

All volunteers complete a background check, required trainings, and the NAYS Coach Certification, which helps ensure a positive, safe, and fun experience for our youth.

Our volunteers help build confidence, teamwork, and community one season at a time.

Field Safety and Rules for Live Ball Play

To ensure the safety of all participants and minimize liability, umpires will enforce strict guidelines regarding who is allowed on the field during live ball play. Only 9 defensive players, 2 base coaches, and the on-deck batter will be permitted on the field while the game is in progress.

The only exceptions to this rule are:

• In coach pitch games, a coach may be on the field to pitch.
• In T-ball games, a coach may be on the field to assist with defensive positioning.

This policy helps maintain a safe and focused environment during the game. Coaches, players, and other individuals must remain either in the dugout or off the field during live ball play unless otherwise specified by the rules of the game.
